Wowie.... what a blessed time away we had, as a family, it was so well deserved, and so long time a waiting. It has been 5 years since the last time the family and I took a vacation away from home. The Lord allowed us to take this time to visit colleges for my son, visit with family friends, whom we haven't seen in years, and also to spend time with family friends that were no longer going to be residing in Hawaii. It was an emotional time for all, and also a relaxing time as well. Much needed. With 2 more surgeries still to come, we wanted to take this time to make the best of everything, and the Lord was so grateful in fitting all things into place. Thank You Lord!!! I will post pics as soon as I finish making digital pages with them. :) Got lots of pics to create with, so stay tuned!!!
How was your Easter?? So blessed to know that God loves you so much, right?? So MUCH that HE gave HIS one and only son to die for the sin of the world. (John 1:29, John 3:16). Do you believe that? Do you know that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?? If not, what is it that is keeping you from coming to the Lord? Did something in your life happen that made you angry with God? Or did someone tell you that He doesn't exist? There are just too many miraculous and amazing things that are indescribable to the human to fathom. The Lord wrote the bible to help us understand that. I invite you to read the text written, and get to know God. Learn about His ways, and seek what it is that HE has in store for you. I pray that you take that journey, and I pray that as you learn more you draw closer to HIM. :) You will understand how much it really is to be loved, you will understand and fulfill that plan He has in store for you.
Ok, so it's been 3 weeks since our last scripture challenge. Time to get it back on track. Again, the rules are pretty simple, which is mostly to create a new project that has a scripture on it. Our last challenge's winner was Gail. (Hi Gail! I will be mailing out your winnings today!!! Don't forget to grab your badge!!). For this week's challenge, I am featuring a chocolate candy bar holder, which I created manually, and on the spot for the boys of my son's basketball team. I used my eClips machine and eCal program to create the wording, and I was going to at first create the holder on the program as well, but didn't really have the time to. I have the measurements to share with you, so you can create your own candy bar holder too!!
Here is how mine turned out:
The digital scripture came from Doodle Pantry's "Heart of God" digital stamp set. This set was recently released back in January of this year. Ok, here is how I made this candy bar holder. There are 2 parts to this project, the base and the holder.
To make the base:
- Cut Cardstock to 6" x 5-7/8"
- Score at 2-3/4" and 3-1/8" (on the 5-7/8" side)
To make the holder:
- Cut Cardstock to 7" x 2-1/2"
- Score at 1/4" and 5/8" on both short edges
- Score at 1-13/16" and 2" on one side of the long edge
- Fold on all score lines.
- Adhere tape to 1st layer of edge, and adhere holder to base.
That shouldn't be too hard to follow. I know you will have fun!!! These make great favors and gifts, of course. A quick and easy creation that is made from your heart!!! :)
Here is the prize for this week's challenge, it is Hero Arts Stamp Set #CL528:
Challenges I am also submitting my project to are:
